Not much to say...

Sun Dec 14, 2008, 10:11 AM
...I just wanted to get rid of that woefully out of date journal entry that has been up for the past forever. (more accurately, since May)

As I have said numerous times, I'm not one of those LJ melodrama queens who like to talk about their personal lives, in short it's Christmas time (at least it would be if I could afford it) and I am torn between playing Left 4 Dead for more than is healthy and actually using the time to do more work towards my final Third Year hand in. It's funny, my tutors reassure me I have time to mess around with practice drafts and loose concepts, but I can't help but feel it's basically one semester until the big hand in, and goddamn it, I WILL HAVE MY FIRST. There is something backwards about that relationship.

In other news, add me on Steam if you have Left 4 Dead on PC and want to slay some zombies.

I have also continued to faithfully update my IGN blog of videogame and movie reviews, most recently I have had zombies on the brain (pun possibly intended) covering both Valve's aforementioned undead masterpeice Left 4 Dead and before that RE:Degeneration, Capcoms new CG film. Check it out if you get the chance, and if you frequent IGN, leave a comment:

Only other big news I have is that I am being featured in GamesTM as the "Reader's View" writer. It's my favourite games mag and I am very chuffed to be in it, although technically this is the second time (in addition to several featured quotes in different issues), this time I am happy with what I wrote. Check it out if you read the mag, it's the Christmas issue.

Merry Christmas all!

Hey dude. Yeah, I love it. I was careful to pick out a mostly design/art focused course though, I doubt I'd have enjoyed it as much if there was programming mixed up in there.

Good luck getting into Games Design, if you have a passion for it, it's as awesome a course as you think it is :D
yeah, I wouldnt mind about the programming side of it.

Yeah I have heard a couple of good things about Hull Universities course for it (I live in Hul xD) and a Course Of Excellence for it in Dundee.

What progarms do you use for it?
